Port Said Stadium to Be Replaced with New Stadium and Sports City

The Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhi has announced plans – at the request of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi – to demolish the Port Said stadium to be replaced with a more modern stadium within a fully-fledged sports city. Currently, the stadium is at risk of collapsing. According to the minister, the new stadium and sports city will host a myriad of state-of-the art sports facilities and swimming pools.
