Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Al Anany announced the new route on Saturday during a meeting with 100 pioneers in the tourism industry operating in the ancient city of Luxor, where he bore even more good news. During July and August, all archaeological sites and museums in Luxor, Aswan, and Qena will be half the price for entry— a move made to encourage tourism in the area during the hotter months where traffic usually slows down because of the intense heat.
The discount will also apply to a five-day Luxor pass, a programme that lets tourists into all the sites in Luxor— the same pass will also be available for Cairo (Baron Palace here we come). You’ll be able to buy the pass through phone apps and online very soon, in addition to books and brochures that will also be offered to compliment your visits. Brb while we go grab some shades and a new camera.
