Air Arabia Launches Direct Flights Between Sharjah & Athens

The budget airline Air Arabia, based in the United Arab Emirates, is set to launch direct flights from Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) to Athens International Airport, Eleftherios Venizelos Airport (ATH) in Greece, and Kraków John Paul II International Airport (KRK) in Poland on June 28 and June 29, respectively. Daily flights are scheduled for Kraków, while Athens will be served four times a week. Both routes will be operated using an Airbus A320.

From its hub in Sharjah, Air Arabia conducts flights across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Presently, apart from Russia and Turkey, the airline serves only two nations in Continental Europe: Milan Bergamo Airport, Italy (BGY), and Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (SJJ).

The airline is keen on broadening its European network, especially with the imminent arrival of its first A321XLR aircraft, which will allow it to explore additional destinations in the future.
