Titled ‘Railway’, the Fall/Winter 2024 line for Abdelghany’s label, Mamzi, draws from the steady strength and intersecting lines of Egypt’s historic railway system to craft modern yet enduringly stylish pieces.

"The allure of the railway lies in its silhouette, the seamless connectivity it forges between diverse elements and places, this served as the focal point of my inspiration, guiding my concentration towards capturing the essence of interconnectedness in my designs," Abdelghany shares with SceneStyled. True to her vision, the collection features strong shapes and lines that flow together like rail joints connecting tracks across the country.

Dominating hues of charcoal and earth tones evoke the landscape traced by railway routes. Sharp angles and asymmetric cuts imbue the pieces with an edgy feeling while maintaining precision in their construction. Leather, a key material within the line, lends itself to the industrial vibes of Abdelghany's muse and appears abundantly in statement blazers, pants and tops. Intricate button details travel the lengths of the garments, resembling the metal bars linking rails.

Standout pieces include the Tiles pants, a pair of sharp-cut leather trousers marked by linear button embellishments. The Slope top showcases the designer's artistic flair through long flared sleeves punctuated by metal railway accents. For a bold outerwear statement, the Tiles blazer combines soft wool with textured leather panels and arm detailing that enhances its structural aura.
