This week’s #RememberWhen recalls the global super star Shakira singing songs by the legendary Lebanese singer, Fairuz.

Over the past decades Shakira has gained global success largely as a Latin super star who sings in Spanish and English. And while Shakira is often labeled as “the queen of Latin music”, what a lot of people don’t know is that she is half Lebanese.
