Natural Gas Powered Bus Fleet Will Be Launched in 2022

Egypt is set to launch its fleet of natural gas-powered buses in mid-2022, aiming to manufacture 250 buses per year.

With clean energy at the core of Egypt’s national strategy, this new fleet is the latest in a surge in renewable energy projects and initiatives. 70% of the buses’ components will be locally sourced in support of Egypt’s manufacturing industry. The rest of the production materials will be supplied by the Belarusian Minsk Automobile Plant. The fleet will feature buses of various sizes, catering to different logistical needs, accommodating anywhere from 14 to 50 passengers.
