Clothes Make Up 50% of Egyptian Exports to America

While food and kindred products represent a huge chunk of Egyptian exports to the US, ready-made textiles and apparel came out on top in 2020. Representing 50.1% of our national exports to the US last year, Egyptian-made clothing made us USD 812.3 million in profit.

On the flip side, US imports to Egypt only represented 6.7% of total imports to Egypt, totaling USD 4.7 billion in 2020. Now that may seem like a lot, and it is, but it represents a 6.1% decrease in how much we imported from them in 2019.
