New Smart Bus Pulls Up to Combat Drug Use in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Police have launched a new smart bus to raise awareness about the dangers of drug use. The programme launched on World Anti-Drug Day, hoping to appeal to family values with the slogan “My family is my greatest wealth.”

The smart bus has smart screens, simulators and VR learning technology to elaborate on the harmful impacts of drug use. It also provides information about workshops, lectures, events and conferences in Abu Dhabi that are related to drug awareness.

The bus will also promote the goals of the Chances of Hope service, another Abu Dhabi police programme that allows drug users and their families to request rehabilitation treatments online while ensuring complete confidentiality.
