‘The Blue Elephant 2’ Among the Most Watched Films on Netflix in Egypt

The 2019 box office hit 'The Blue Elephant 2' hasn't just made tracks in the cinemas; it continues to do so even online. Netflix shows ‘The Blue Elephant 2’ as one of Egypt’s most watched productions, and is the only Egyptian title among the top 20 most watched films this week.

The bone-chilling thriller franchise is based on celebrated author Ahmed Mourad’s novels, which follow a psychiatrist as he becomes involved in unraveling a number of supernatural events. The sequel stars Karim Abdelaziz, Hend Sabri and Nelly Karim.

The film opened Denmark’s Aarhus Arab Film Festival on October 2nd, and was one of the highest grossing titles released last year. Another novel released by Ahmed Mourad, ‘1919’, is currently being filmed, and will once again star Karim Abdelaziz alongside heartthrob Ahmed Ezz.
