Port Said Will Host an Old World Film Festival

Port Said is getting its own international film festival— because Cairo isn’t the only city in the country, after all. The Cinematography for Culture and Arts Foundation’s founder and director Ismail Murad, announced that it is establishing a new cinema festival in the coastal city under the title of “The Old World Film Festival.”

The new festival will aim to spread awareness and advance the cinematic works concerning the Old World, and will host three major competitions within the event: one for feature films, one for cinema graduates and finally the Mahmoud Yassin competition for Port Said natives.
