The Ministry of Culture Is Posting Their Old Events Online for People to Watch
The ministry is uploading events through their YouTube channel, which will include the hologram performance of Umm Kalthoum.
While we're self-isolating in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the Ministry of Culture has taken it upon themselves to cushion the blow of the never-ending boredom we’re all experiencing at home. Minister Inas Abdel-Dayem announced that they will be uploading many of the arts and culture events held by the ministry on YouTube, as part of the “Khalik Fl Beit…El Thaqafa Bein Edeik” initiative.
The events in question, which were held at the Cairo Opera House, include the hologram performance of Umm Kalthoum, ballets including The Nutcracker, Zorba, Swan Lake and Carmen, as well as concerts by musical giants like Omar Khairat, Reham Abdel Hakim and Mai Farouk. The full library will be launched tomorrow, March 24th, at 9 PM. So if you hadn’t gotten the chance to immerse yourself in the world of arts, get yourself a hot cup of tea and sit down for a recap.
