You Can Now Sign Up for the NS Crossing's 1,000 KM Bike Trek By the Red Sea
While the actual trip starts on November 27th, the NS Crossing has recently opened up registrations for its 1,000 KM 3-day biking trek from Cairo to Shalatin.
Egypt is like that one Ferris Bueller quote about how fast life is: "If you don't stop and look around, you might miss it." And you know what, that fictional delinquent is right. Our rolling landscapes and elegant desert dunes are beautiful, but when was the last time you really took it in? Were you really able to soak in all those kilometres of natural beauty while you were driving in your car with your playlist on full blast, hard focused on getting from point A to point B so the *real* vacation can begin at El Gouna or Marsa Allam? Let's slow down for a second and swap our cars for some bikes for a nice, long 1,000 KM trek from Cairo to Shalatin with the NS Crossing.
While the actual trip starts on November 27th, the NS Crossing has recently opened up registrations for its final 12-day challenge of the year. The NS Crossing, founded by adventurer Galal Zekri-Chatila, has long been dedicated to providing Egyptians with voyages across the country. Having personally cycled over 15,000 KM across Egypt, Zeki-Chatila knows the value of a good bike ride out of the city, where you can take in the fresh air and see everything the country has to offer. In that spirit, the NS Crossing will help you get prepared for the long journey - heck, even if you don't have a bike, they can provide one for you!
The Red Sea Fall '20 from Cairo to Shalatin is split into three stages, so if a full 1,000 KM voyage is too intimidating, the NS Crossing has split the trek up into three stages: a 4-day, 450 KM trip from Cairo to El Gouna; a 4-day, 300 KM trip from El Gouna to Marsa Allam; a 4-day 275 trip from Marsa Allam to Shalatin, bringing the whole thing to an end on December 8th.
