The Langham to Open in Saudi Arabia's Cultural Capital Diriyah

Nestled amidst the golden dunes of Saudi Arabia is the kingdom's little-known cultural capital, Diriyah. The small city is home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is celebrated for its connection to nature while also retaining much of the Arabian Peninsula’s culture with its Nadji architecture and layout. And soon, it will play host to a global eco-friendly luxury hotel: The Langham.

The Langham, Diriyah will be built on Diriyah’s main boulevard, home to some of the world’s leading luxury retailers. The central location places guests close to many planned landmarks, putting the hotel within a five-minute drive of Al-Turaif, the town’s UNESCO World Heritage site. The Langham will also be close to Wadi Safar, Saudi’s hub of eco-tourism experience and exploration.

The hotel boasts 200 rooms and suites, a club lounge, two fine dining restaurants, and thoughtfully curated art to add a touch of richness to the hotel. The Langham’s afternoon tea will also be offered as a homage to the first-afternoon tea served in a grand hotel, which took place in 1865 when The Langham opened in London.

The Langham Diriyah will also include the first international outpost of London’s cooking school, Sauce.
