John Legend & OneRepublic to Perform in AlUla's Maraya Concert Hall

Out in the desert canyon of Ashar Valley, nestled within the city of AlUla - where Saudi Arabia's first kingdom once stood - is a surreal piece of art that shimmers and disappears like a mirage. Considered the largest mirrored building in the world, Maraya is more than an illusion made manifest - it's the centrepiece of AlUla's arts scene, a concert hall celebrating the city's history as a crossroads of cultures. And all through November, Maraya will host a series of concerts featuring some of the biggest regional and international names in music.

Grammy award-winning band OneRepublic will bring the noise in Maraya on November 10th, followed by the ever-iconic EGOT-winning John Legend on November 11th. November 18th will see regional artist Faia Younan charm the crowd with her inspiring music, before Egyptian star Mai Farouk takes the stage with her unique 'Tarab' style and classic covers on November 25th.

The concert series coincides with Saudi Arabia's inaugural First Kingdoms Festival from November 11th to November 27th, which will encompass the three great oases of northwest Arabia - namely AlUla, Khaybar and Tayma - to bring hundreds of thousands of years of human history to light through cultural experiences and unique tours into such sites as AlUla's city of Hegra (which has been miraculously carved into stone), the volcanic desert of Khaybar, and Taymar, home to such legendary figures as the last King of Babylon.
