The Westin is Finally Coming to Cairo

By the end of some (most) days in Cairo, between our work schedules, road rage, and just general city life, we realise we haven't gone to the gym in three months, we've taken to surviving off a steady diet of greasy pizza and greasier fries, and we're so stressed we'd swap our grandma for a massage. When someone says something nice to us we start crying. We're pretty sure a little R&R is in order.

Egypt's very first wellness hotel brand, The Westin Cairo Golf Resort & Spa, Katameya Dunes, is finally opening up in Cairo, because they clearly realised just how badly we needed their existence in our lives. The brand focuses on six pillars of well-being that help make you a functioning non-homicidal human being; sleep well, work well, eat well, feel well, move well, play well. Well, if we had all those elements sorted we wouldn't be crying because the deliveryman didn't bring us the extra barbecue sauce we asked for. The Westin Cairo Golf Resort & Spa, Katameya Dunes is going to help you accomplish all of the above. Picture uber comfy accommodation, food and beverages (so, so important), spa treatments to shut the world off and relax, fitness centre memberships to motivate you to hit the gym, meeting facilities in case work catches up with you, and all around fun weekend packages for playtime.

The haven of wellness will be flinging open its doors come September, but in the meantime, from the 15th to the 31st of August, they will be setting up shop at Martin's Beach Club in Sahel where you can win oodles of prizes with discounts on everything from accommodation to spa treatments to weekend packages up for grabs. They'll also be giving you a little taster of their fit, healthy lifestyle by having you squeeze your own juice with two bikes while simultaneously exercising - yes, it's a trap. But you get rewarded with fresh juice that you made yourself. Plus they will have two masseuses on the beach. That is all. So if you don't go, you're basically passing up a free massage and you don't deserve nice things in life. 

Basically, The Westin Cairo Golf Resort & Spa, Katameya Dunes is set to be a place that functions as a loving personal trainer, one who won't yell at you, shatter your self-confidence, or deprive you of yummy food. And you can golf.
