Luxurious Campbell Gray Hotels to Open New Property by the Giza Pyramids

Call us posh, but as much as we love backpacking across the desert, sometimes we just want to get coddled with room service, a fridge full of non-complementary snacks and a good pair of ice buckets. Which is why we’re thrilled to hear that Cairo is getting yet another luxury hotel. Yes, true, we aren't exactly on low stock for those. But this one is special.

To be located next to the Kings Polo Academy and Equestrian Centre in Cairo, Campbell Gray Hotels' new establishment will directly overlook the Pyramids of Giza. Although it hasn't yet been officially named, the hotel will be built as an extension of the Campbell Gray Hotels international chain and will house 70 rooms and suites. Guests will rest near polo fields and landscaped gardens, be able to dine at an all-day restaurant, bar and outdoor terrace, and chill at a library lounge with the largest equestrian book collection in the region. Oh, and two swimming pools.

The new hotel will be built just 55 minutes from Cairo International Airport and 35 minutes away from the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). In addition to the main hotel, a clubhouse will be built adjacent to the existing Kings Polo Academy with a restaurant, bar, and a field-side outdoor match terrace, so that guests can watch the polo games while they're out for lunch.
