Hike Through the Ghost Town of Um Bogma with Wild Guanabana

Specialising in authentic and ethical adventures, Egypt-born travel company Wild Guanabana is holding their latest ‘Live Tribal’ group trip in ancestral Sinai. There, travellers will trek through its oldest trails, pass through the ghost town of Um Bogma, and camp out under the night sky - or what the local Bedouin people call ‘the million-star hotel’.

The Sinai Trail, a 250 kilometre sea-to-summit route, will take hikers from the Gulf of Aqaba to the mountains of St. Catherine. Along the way, you’ll pass by enchanting desert landscapes, great wilderness, and the Bedouin tribes of the area who manage the Sinai Trail through a cooperative effort.

The trip includes stops at the ancient temple of Serabit el Khadem, Darb el Khawaja, Wadi Um Ajraaf, Wadi Sahow, Um Bogma, and finally Wadi Baabaa before heading home.

Running from December 28th to January 1st for four nights and five days, all food and water as well as camping tents will be included in the $700 price, plus 5% VAT.

All visitors entering Egypt, including nationals, must be in possession of a negative PCR test taken at a maximum of 72 hours before their flights.
