Entrance to Natural Reserves Across Egypt Now Half Off

Listen, if you have an Instagram account, we know you’ve seen at least a dozen stories of young cool cats partying it up in Wadi Degla Protectorate, grilling away at dinner and blasting techno. It’s become a bit of a trend since the onset of the pandemic pushed people to gather outdoors, and we aren’t objecting. Coincidentally, neither is the Ministry of Environment. In fact, they’re on a mission to incite more young visitors to protectorates and natural reserves by rolling out a 50% discount on tickets.

Out of Egypt’s 30 natural reserves, 13 are open for recreational and touristic activities. The Ministry’s Eco Egypt campaign has been slowly developing infrastructures for these reserves in order to raise awareness about their presence and all the activities within them.

The tickets are already discounted right now, and will remain discounted until further notice. Some of the natural reserves you can visit in Cairo are the Petrified Forest Protectorate and Wadi Degla Protectorate. If you fancy a road trip, some other popular spots include Wadi El Rayan, Ras Mohammed National Park, and the Gebel Elba Reserve.
