Ayman Baky & Hassan Allam to Establish Boutique Hotel by Giza Plateau

Award-winning restaurateur and hospitality pioneer, Ayman Baky, has struck a deal with real estate giant, Hassan Allam Properties, in a move that will see him expand his F&B-focused portfolio and enter into the world of boutique hoteliering.

This won’t be the first collaboration between Baky Hospitality and Hassan Allam Properties’ CEO, Mohamed Allam. Baky’s popular high-end restaurant, Kazoku, has been deemed a resounding success at Hassan Allam’s Swan Lake Katameya compound, where it has won the hearts (and stomachs) of the city’s most discerning diners.

It’s this success that has acted as a launchpad for this unique new project, one that has been touted as the first boutique hotel of its kind in the west of Cairo, in Hassan Allam’s Swan Lake West development. While details are scarce, the hotel will sit in a location that affords its scenic views of the Giza Plateau on one side and the compound's grandiose boulevard on the other. Baky and co. have also promised cutting-edge architecture and design, high-end restaurants and nightlife venues, and a 'relaxed atmosphere, playful social spaces and unparalleled amenities'.

Interestingly, Baky has also hinted that the new project will play heavily on contactless technology, as part of a uniquely curated hospitality experience that is looking to elevate the usual small-scale operations that define boutique hotels in Egypt.

The hotel at Swan Lake West is just the first of a planned roll-out of chains, with the first set to open its doors in 2023.
