Mvndila follows up his debut EP with ‘Nuba’ in collaboration with seasoned Sudanese singer-songwriter roTation. The track is marked by a mellow lo-fi melody, with hard trap drums marked by bouncy 808s produced by compatriot 7sn XOB. Mixed by XOB, with mastering done by Egypt’s Swish, the track is woven together to form an intimate letter to their beloved Sudan during the violent conflict that has overtaken the nation.

Mvndila blends Eastern and Western sounds to create a modern yet nostalgic sound unique to the Sudanese diaspora experience. Growing up between Sudan and Saudi Arabia, Mvndila’s influences include the classical haqeeba sound of Sudan as well as the modern-day raging Hip-Hop sound. In a time where the Sudanese scene is taking leaps, Mvndila makes himself heard and known with heartfelt performances on wavy tunes.

‘Nuba’ features roTation, a renowned singer, songwriter and record producer from Omdurman, Sudan. roTation has made a name for himself as one of the pioneers of the Sudanese scene, with an impressive portfolio of heavyweight collaborations under his belt with fellow Sudanese trailblazers including TooDope, Blvxb, Soulja and MaMan and producers such as WillyWill, Saji and many more.
