Nazar, Logical Da9ud & More To Headline MOSHTRQ's Anniversary Event

Celebrating its one-year anniversary, the Egyptian audiovisual collective MOSHTRQ comes out of its summer hiatus to bring us a one-of-a-kind event exploring cutting-edge global dance music.

MOSHTRQ has established itself as a pioneering voice for underground music in Egypt by reinvigorating Cairo’s alternative and experimental music scene. Shining a spotlight on some of the most exciting regional talents spinning music today, MOSHTRQ has seen alumni from their previous takeover events performing on stages in Berlin, Uganda, and beyond.

The collective aims to provide a 360 experience by going beyond music to also present multiple artistic disciplines within their live events. Each time, they commission a local graphic artist for the poster art while also engaging a VJ to bring the event to life visually. In the past, they have also explored clothing collaborations with cutting-edge streetwear brands such as UNTY to offer their diverse crowd a unique and artistic experience.

MOSHTRQ’s seventh edition of their takeover event ‘MOSH BAYEN’’ will take place on December 15th 2022, featuring some fan favourites, newcomers, and international headliner Nazar. Since the release of his debut EP, ‘Enclave’ in 2018 and his album release in 2020 titled, ‘Guerilla’, Nazar has established himself as a forward thinking producers particularly through his fusion of traditional Angolan genres like Kuduro blended with heavy electronics, Dub, and deconstructed club music.

Additionally, MOSHTRQ aims to debut a new live set from rising underground rap artist Logical Da9ud, in addition to mixed sets by an eclectic mix of DJs.

The full lineup includes: Nazar, Ashrar, Karim Serry, Logical Da9ud, and L.P. Fulano of Khabt Recordings.
