El Mexic Crew Take Over Alexandria This NYE with Massive Rap Concert

2021 has seen Egyptian rap rousers Abyusif, Abo El Anwar, Perrie and Lil Baba paint the music scene red, white and green as the maniacal El-Mexic crew. Each has had big years, particularly Abo El Anwar and Perrie, who have come into their own, and it’s been nothing short of a fiesta when they’ve come together on occasion.

One occasion is proving to be the most anticipated yet, with the news that all four are set to take to the stage in Egypt's norther coastal twon of Alexandria on New Year’s Eve. Taking place at Alex Arena and organised by PLUG, the gig is shaping up to be one hell of a night to ring in 2022 with.

It’s been a rapturous year for rap in Egypt across the board, but 2021 has seen the rap scene escape their studios and videos and onto stages, the summer witnessing a whole host of rap gigs across the country - and it looks like we’re getting 2022 started on an even more spectacular note.
