Egyptian Artist 200 Shams to Host Music Production Workshop

Aspiring beat-makers, take note - renowned Egyptian artist 200 Shams is sharing his skills through a virtual masterclass series, in cooperation with Downtown Cairo-based art and culture hub, Cocoon Cultural Centre.

Dubbed ‘Music Production Bootcamp With 200 Shams’, the four-session workshop delves into the thought processes behind music making and translating ideas into layered sonic pieces.

The intermediate-level course is designed for those with basic Ableton Live experience looking to take their production to new heights. Participants will gain insights directly from 200 Shams on approaching music in a creative, inspired way.

Running November 17th through December 8th on Fridays, each two-hour class will be held via Google Meet. Spaces are limited, so interested musicians are encouraged to book through Cocoon Cultural Centre's official Instagram account quickly.

Priced at EGP 2,000, the proceeds from the masterclass will support the Palestinian cause, with 20% of the revenue going to support the Egyptian Clothing Bank’s efforts in Gaza.
