Ayloul Rise Above Separation & Loneliness in New Track ‘Long Distance’

Distance and loneliness have been themes thrust upon many of the world’s musicians, the pandemic disrupting collaborative musical ventures and music-making processes at large - including alternative Jordanian band, Ayloul, half of whom have found themselves outside of Jordan in recent times, unable to continue making music collectively.

It’s a sentiment that’s at the heart of ‘Long Distance’, which comes as part of a series of short tracks that the band are creating at home and releasing.

It’s not all wistful, depressive longing, however; in fact, it’s the band’s insistence on continuing to make music despite the circumstance that drives the larger project. Musically, a mellow acoustic guitar accompanies a dramatic violin for the main body of the melody, providing a fitting backdrop to the song’s message. Stay tuned for Ayloul’s upcoming releases with more short tracks in the pipeline.
