47Soul’s El Far3i Pours the Personal into ‘Law Sarakhna’

In an acoustic new teaser from his upcoming album, Palestinian-Jordanian heavyweight El Far3i seduces gentle campfire strings with a raspy voice before pouring out an appeal for Arab neighbourly unity in ‘Law Sarakhna’, a song marked by his trademark guitar-stringed remodelling of hip hop.

The 37-year old musician secured his name as a pioneering force in his role as vocalist for 47Soul, the Palestinian-Jordanian group driving the Shamstep electronic music and dance movement across the region.

His solo career, though, has been an outlet that allows him to tap into his socio-political consciousness to explore an acoustic sound away from the heavily-synthesised electro of his group.

‘Law Sarakhna’ is no different, and indicates his upcoming album won't be stepping away from his instinctively personal work and his emotive, social struggles.
