13 Of The Best Hotel Buffets To Feast At In Cairo

We’re a picky bunch when it comes to food, especially when there’s a buffet. We take a few precautions when going into a restaurant. First we judge the ambience, then the waiters, and of course, the food. Sometimes, the buffet looks so good that we want to build a mountain of food on our plate. We know you do that too – it’s okay. However, looks can be deceiving. It's happened often that we eat meals that are either undercooked, overcooked, too salty, too sweet… see where we’re going with this? Looking for an excuse to feast, we took to the town and finally narrowed it down to nine of the best spots for buffets. You’re welcome.

Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski: Fisherman's Hook Buffet

The State is a classic European buffet restaurant with an elegant interior and occasional live entertainment that’ll give you royal vibes. The Fisherman's Hook Buffet at The State offers a wide variety of mouthwatering seafood meals every Thursday night for 480 LE. We know, it’s tough to find a juicy lobster that's nice and golden on the inside; however, Fisherman's Hook's selection will have you feasting away - oh-so-gracefully, of course. Aside from the lobsters, you can find tender oysters, delicious salmon filet, sushi, and just about everything under the sea.

Sofitel Cairo El Gezirah: Le Sud

Located in Zamalek, Le Sud has a large variety of options when it comes to their international buffet. Their lunch buffet is for 260 LE, and dinner buffet for 300 LE; however, they’re worth the money and calories! For those sushi lovers out there, they have an-all-you-can-eat sushi buffet every Sunday. There’s no denying that the food is delicious, but those who have a sweet tooth like us will fall in love with their dessert buffet. Wherever you look, you’ll see chocolate everywhere. They also have an entire corner dedicated to oriental desserts; basbousa for everyone!

Mena House: 139

What better way to enjoy your dinner than with a view? With the view of the Giza Pyramids, 139 has a wide array of platters to tickle your taste buds the good old Oriental way. According to Trance, lots of people are afraid of 138, but this is 139 we’re talking about here… Their menu ranges from Middle Eastern to Indian classics for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition , you can also enjoy a few drinks while you indulge in your meal.

Intercontinental Cairo Citystars: Shogun

Not a lot of places offer brunch, let alone a Japanese brunch. Stir-fried veggies, dumplings, and spring rolls are only a small selection of their gracious bounty. With an elegant ambience, you can treat yourself with a nice brunch at Shogun for 210 LE ++ from 1-5 PM.

Renaissance Cairo Mirage City Hotel: Citron

We all know that nothing is better than a hotel breakfast, with all the mini croissants, muffins, omelettes, and those cute little jam jars. Citron’s breakfast starts at 7 AM, so you can have a bright and early start to your day for only 130 LE. You can also have lunch and dinner there, and enjoy their international cuisine; however, only if you’re a large group.

JW Marriott Hotel Cairo: Mirage Café

You can enjoy their buffet while looking at a great view of the golf course. Their international cuisine has a giant salad bar, if you’re that type - we don’t judge. You can enjoy a nice breakfast that goes from 6:30 AM to 11 AM, or a fancy-shmancy dinner. If you’re the kind that likes kobeba and ma7shi, then try their oriental dinner buffet for 200 LE ++ every Tuesday.

Ramses Hilton: Terrace Café

What better way to start off your morning than with great coffee, fresh juices, and freshly baked goods? What we love most about the Terrace Café is that it's overlooking the Nile. Aside from their savoury breakfast, you can enjoy a comforting dinner while watching the sunset over the Nile. Plus, for all you peeps who like the traditional Egyptian dishes, you can enjoy their all-day Oriental corner.

Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza: 8

Every Friday, the Four Seasons allows you to get a taste of China with their Dim Sum “from the heart” buffet, at their Cantonese restaurant '8' for 370 LE++ from 1 - 5 PM. There are several traditional dishes served within a calming ambience that will satisfy all your cravings. The restaurant, 8, is known to be one of the lucky numbers in the Chinese culture. The restaurant used 8 to create a culinary enlightenment of senses!

Intercontinental Cairo Semiramis: Night & Day

Fridays are all about families, so why not treat your family to a chic Friday brunch? For even more pleasant vibes, you’ll be happy to know that they occasionally play Jazz music that’ll make a faithless man believe. Their brunch usually starts from 1 PM and goes until 6 PM for 235 LE++.

Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence: Strada

Strada has a Friday brunch with live entertainment that’ll draw a smile on your face. Everyone knows that Friday is that one day of the week you dedicate to the family, so why not head down there with the fam? There’s also a kids corner, so you don't have to deal with someone yelling "mom!" while you work your way through the live cooking stations and travel the world, from Egypt to Thailand and beyond, through your taste buds. Pace yourselves, though; their dessert buffet is where it's at.

Conrad: Solana

With a breathtaking view of the River Nile, you can enjoy a classy meal with a relaxed ambience with your family and friends. They provide an international buffet with a subtle hint of Mediterranean flavours for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! P.S: You don’t have to dress up all fancy-shmancy; sometimes we aren’t in the mood to look like royalty, either, although we perfect that look effortlessly.

The Nile Ritz-Carlton: Culina

This all-day dining restaurant has a unique twist. What is it, you ask? They have a classy cooking “show”, which means you can watch the chef create his masterpiece and guarantee that the meal will be fresh. Their lunch and breakfast buffet brings all the international flavours under one roof!

Dusit Thani LakeView Cairo: IZUMI

The Japanese word, Izumi, means spring water, which is the perfect description of the restaurant's atmosphere: fresh and dynamic. The design throughout the entire restaurant has several sparkling effects that reflect the name. They also have a wide selection when it comes to their sushi bar, so cough up the dough (195 LE++), because trust us, it’s worth it!
