Run Along the Mediterranean at the Official Alexandria Marathon

Imagine being in Alexandria in the early morning. Comfy foggy skies, invigorating sea breeze, and the long Alexandria Corniche stretching out before you. Imagine running alongside the beaches with its rolling waves on one side and the timeless cafes and shops on the other - interrupted only by the occasional insomniac who decided this was a good hour to go driving on El Gaish Road - until you reach the historic Al Mursi Abu Al Abbas Mosque. That’s exactly the kind of experience you can expect at the Alexandria Marathon, a sunrise run along the Mediterranean coastline on December 3rd.

Open to anyone and everyone, the Alexandria Marathon features multiple distances ranging from 42 kilometres down to five kilometres depending on your experience level. Alongside Alex Runners and the Ministry of Youth and Sport, the marathon works with Misr El Kheir to donate part of the proceeds to Egyptian families in need.
