New Fully-Equipped Mobile Traffic Units to Be Rolled Out Across Egypt

These mobile centres are meant to help circumvent bloated bureaucratic processes, alleviate pressure on the country’s overcrowded governmental offices, and provide access to services in remote areas.

The Ministry of Interior will soon roll out mobile service centres, where citizens will be able to conveniently access the government’s traffic services.

These mobile centres are meant to help citizens circumvent bloated bureaucratic processes, alleviate pressure on the country’s overcrowded governmental offices, and provide access to services in remote areas.

Overseeing the implementation of this wide-reaching project, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development has allocated a number of mobile vehicles to several ministries and governmental services including the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Local Development, the Egyptian Drug Authority and the Post Office.

The Ministry of Interior, for its part, will have 40 or more fully-equipped mobile traffic units across the country, providing simplified and automated procedures for various traffic services.

Just a few days ago, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development handed over 13 mobile technology service centers to the Ministry of Interior’s Civil Status Sector, the Ministry of Industry’s Industrial Development Authority and the Spatial Information Infrastructure Integration Project for surveying, bringing the total number of distributed centres to 62. 81 new mobile centers are currently being prepared for delivery in 2022.
