New 9 Pyramids Lounge to Host Trifactory Fundraising Yoga Day to Fight Violence Against Women
Is there a better backdrop in Egypt than the Great Pyramids of Giza? With venues like 9 Pyramids Lounge there, the dream of relaxing in front of an ancient landmark, soaking in millennia of history on a personal journey of tranquility and understanding, is more real than ever. But there's another reason why we might want to sit before the Pyramids that have so powerfully represented our country: to contemplate on the issues that they must bear witness to during our time in history. And with Egyptians rallying against the ill-treatment of women and the violence they face, contemplation can't just be our only recourse.

On November 7th, The Trifactory will host ‘Yes Yoga’ – under their wellness and yoga sub-brand Yes Wellness Club – at the 9 Pyramids Lounge. While they expect you to use the event to find inner peace, especially with yogis Farah Ehsan and Diala Jamaleddin to lead the way, they're also hoping it can promote some peace in our time - by eliminating violence against women. With taglines like #YEStoNOviolenceD 'Yes Yoga' looks to champion the cause by donating all proceeds to Act, an NGO focused on combating violence and harassment against women. The event will feature a one-hour panel on violence and harassment, and how to best stop it for good.

“We couldn’t think of a backdrop to host Yes Wellness Club’s official first event than the Great Pyramids of Giza,” The TriFactory COO Seif Fawzy tells CairoScene. “The location really represents Egypt, and given recent events, combating violence against women is a cause we wholeheartedly believe in, and are proud to support through our event.”

Sponsored by ALEXBANK’s ‘Ghalya’ initiative, the event is opened to people of all ages and levels, so beginners are more than welcome to join in, even (or perhaps, especially) if they're just there to support the cause. Registration is available via thetrifactory.com/yesyogaday.
