For EGP 1500 You Can Take Official Wedding Photos at Historical Sites

Some choose a lush garden, others opt for a grand palace, but we think we can all agree that there’s no greater backdrop in the world for wedding photos than Egypt’s long list of heritage sites. Imagine yourself in your dream dress or besuited in a crisp blazer with the Citadel of Mohamed Ali in the backdrop and the love of your life in your arms - if that’s not a pretty picture, we don’t know what is.

In the past, wedding photoshoots were not allowed in archaeological locations, but now even our most ambitious Instagram goals seem to be coming to fruition. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities passed a new law which will allow couples to take their wedding pictures with a professional photographer at Egypt’s archaeological locations for EGP 1500 an hour. No longer will people need to set up shoots in nearby locations just so they could get a glimpse of the stunning view in the background. No longer will they need to dedicate painstaking hours at Photoshop to create that picture-perfect wedding picture. No longer will they need to - well, some people did crazy things for the ‘gram, let’s leave it at that.

The new rule was implemented to help promote tourism at Egypt’s archaeological and historical spots, essentially generating free advertising while giving people the chance to create the wedding shots of their dreams.
