The fourth annual prize draw will also be giving awards of EGP 500,000 every month until the end of the year.
You must have seen the viral adverts by now. You know, the ones that say ‘money changes people’, as we watch comedian Soleiman Eid (forever playing characters who are down on their luck) transform into bronze adonis, Tamer Hagras, when a hefty bag of cash is thrown in front of him.
Now, the people behind the ad, Emirates NBD-Egypt, can’t promise that they can turn you into the hunky star, but they do promise you a chance to win a truly life-changing sum of money, with the latest edition of the Mega Liabilities Campaign. Now in its fourth year, the stakes (and the prizes) couldn't be higher.
Having kicked off the campaign a few short weeks ago, Emirates NBD-Egypt welcomes both existing and new customers to enter their names in the draw for the chance to win EGP 500,000 when they deposit EGP 50,000 in their account. From now and till the end of 2020, one customer will win per month.
That’s not all, though. The campaign is set to come to a spectacular finale in January 2021, when one lucky person really will have their life changed, thanks to a grand prize draw that will see the winner walk away with a bumper EGP 2 million prize. Yes, you read that correctly: EGP 2 Million.
Beyond the kind of rush that only money prize draws can give you, there’s more at play with the campaign, which falls in line with Emirates NBD-Bank’s aim to help Egypt work towards financial inclusion.
"The strategy of Emirates NBD-Egypt aims to support the country's plans for economic recovery and achieving financial inclusion by providing innovative banking services that satisfy our customers," said Mohamed Berro, CEO of Emirates NBD-Egypt. “satisfy our customers." "We are launching this campaign for the fourth year in a row to encourage our new and existing customers to invest their savings in banks and benefit from our offers and banking services. We are keen to provide the best benefits to our customers and the best return on investment and to provide electronic banking services to easily facilitate the procedures for our customers in dealing with their accounts without having to visit the bank.”
Previous editions of the Mega Liabilities Campaign have given out some mightily impressive prizes. The inaugural campaign in 2017 gave customers a chance to win a top-of-the-line Maserati, while 2018’s campaign gave winners weekly and monthly cash prizes, with an EGP 5 million grand prize. Last year, eight (yes, that’s 8) BMW’s were awarded as prizes, alongside another bumper EGP 5 million grand prize.
To be eligible for the draws and grand prize, customers must maintain a minimum average balance of EGP 50,000 in a Current Account, Current Plus or Savings Account by the end of the campaign period. Click here for more information.
