Canada's Queen's University to Train Egypt's Future Tech-Leaders

The Egyptian government has entered into an international partnership with Canada’s Queen’s University to train the country’s next generation of experts in artificial intelligence and data science. Starting January 2022, up to 100 Egyptian students will participate remotely in the Queen’s School of Computing’s Master of Data Science and Machine Learning.

The agreement is part of the Digital Egypt Builders Initiative, an undertaking by the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology aimed at empowering Egyptian engineering and computer science graduates.

For Queen’s University, the collaboration is part of the Canadian institutions’ commitment to equitable global engagement through sustainable development, civic impact and through fostering mutually beneficial partnerships across the globe. Earlier this year, Queen’s was recognised by the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for their efforts in advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
