Two Egyptian 3D Artists Join Forces to Create Abstract Compositions

Balance can be found in the most unexpected places. Some find it through the art of stacking stones by a riverbed while being surrounded by greenery, and others find it in the exact same way, except in the virtual realm. ‘Abstract Compositions’ is a 3D art project created by two Egyptian visual artists, Kareem Shoukri and Hassan Ahmed, consisting of a series of scenes depicting objects such as furniture and geometric shapes balanced out in colourful spaces that are organic in form.“Kareem and I are friends, and we were casually together before I randomly asked him if we could create a project simply to play around with objects and balance them out,” Hassan Ahmed tells #SceneHome. “It felt like an opportunity to test our modelling skills with elements that are arranged in a purely random manner.”

The compositions present refreshing aesthetics, but it’s their backgrounds that completely immerse them with texture, form and movement. Placed in almost shape-shifting interiors, the designs’ randomness ranges from a chair supported by a stick with trays strung together through a wire, and a tabletop surrounded by golden objects in an abstract play on top of a rock, to a second chair standing with one leg on an abstract arrangement of cylinders and spheres.
