When it comes to finding an immediate pairing between furniture and flooring, colour usually does the trick. Whether it's orienting the styling to a rug, or terrazzo flooring like these renders by Cairo-based Nara Studios, one of the first visualisation studios in the Middle East. Floored by the creative designers at Cairo-based architectural design studio EKRAVD, who used a popping palette as the main visual drive of the space, Nara Studios delivered their vision in crisp detail.

Nara Studios was founded by three out-of-the-box individuals: 3D Artists Hady El Kholy and Sherif Medhat, and Mohamed Tosson. They aimed to change how 3D art, advertisement and visualisation is perceived, and their portfolio stands as testament to their efforts, including projects for a plethora of real estate developers, Alchemy Design Studio and famed Egyptian architect, Waleed Arafa.

“We are keen on providing high quality visual representations that cater to diverse needs,” Tosson tells #SceneHome. “Visualisations can outgrow traditional photography and videography whether in terms of flexibility, impact and time.”

Designs are plans until they are visualised; that’s when they take form and the prospective furniture pieces get their colour. Playing, in its own way, a unique role between plan and execution. After all, plenty of last-minute decision-making is made while looking at the visualisations, and their immensely-realistic renders tend to make a good case for the design. Even if it needs to highlight a pink piggy sculpture.
