Little Baby Cribs: Elegant & Whimsical Furniture for the Little Ones

As any parent can tell you, looking for kids’ furniture online can feel like tumbling down a rabbit hole, overwhelming an already burdened mind. You’re spoiled with questions: Are they durable? Safe? Stylish? Attractive enough for a toddler and meet the standards of a fault-finding parent? Do they even fit our house? Egyptian brand Little Baby Cribs (LBC) says yes.

Established in 2017 by Ahmed Motawea, Mai Selim and Mohamed Motawea, LBC provides parents with cribs, toddler beds, house beds and bunk beds, as well as furniture made with rounded edges, non-toxic materials and a sturdy build to withstand all kinds of fun and play (and perhaps a tantrum or two).

“The common instinct that connected us was being a parent to the most valuable human beings in our lives,” Mai Selim tells SceneHome. Aside from being AUC graduates and all leading diverse careers, what the co-founders shared was their passion for parenthood, leading them to create their own little baby cribs.

Before promising other families the prospect of stylish and safe kids furniture, the co-founders came from a personal experience. Selim was designing her newborn’s bedroom and couldn’t find anything that was comfortable, while also being made with a high quality and reasonable price. “I designed two beautiful rooms that our kids grew up in and made amazing memories,” Selim recalls. “Since then, it’s been our mission to bring the utmost quality, safety and style into every family’s home.”

Kids’ furniture doesn’t have to look childish. Case in point: LBC seamlessly balances childhood whimsy and elegant timelessness in the shape of softly textured rocking and nursing chairs, as well as leg rests for when it’s taking a bit longer than expected to put our little ones to sleep.

“Our paramount objective is to tailor exquisite furniture that cater to the desire of each parent seeking nothing short of perfection when it comes to furnishing their cherished young children’s spaces,” Ahmed Motawea states. LBC’s bespoke services allow complete personalisation, whether its interior design or furniture. “Becoming a father ignited my desire to provide the best for my child. Our cribs not only prioritise safety and comfort but also embody our heartfelt commitment to our families.”

Focused on creating long-lasting furniture that will accompany us as we make timeless memories, LBC relies on high quality materials to ensure longevity. The designs are practical, featuring storage compartments, adjustable heights, convertible designs and multi-purpose pieces.

“The incomparable love for our little ones ignited us and will always be the driving factor behind Little Baby Cribs,” Mohamed Motawea adds. Over the years, Motawea got exposed to numerous industrial fields, including furniture manufacturing, during his work as a loss adjuster before LBC. “This is the most pleasant journey of my career.”

While kids’ furniture hasn’t had its fair share of attention in the world of design, LBC’s founders have dedicated themselves to creating baby cribs that even adults would find appealing. “Our aspiration is to have at least one LBC piece in the sanctum of every child’s room across the world,” Motawea shares.

Delivering around Egypt, LBC is also operating in Saudi Arabia, with plans to expand into more countries in the MENA region. Their services include site visits, 2D and 3D drawings of interior and furniture design, the supply and installation of the pieces and their accessories, customisation and above all, health and safety assurance. Got to keep our little ones secured.
