Egyptian Architect Explores New Concepts With This AI-Generated Villa

Among the countless trends seen in 2022, none have been as controversial yet as widely appealing as AI-generated imagery. With just a few words typed into a text-prompt engine, visuals can be created instantly, drawing praise and scepticism alike from artists, designers and architects from around the world. Choosing to engage with the new tool as a possible avenue for new ideas, Egyptian architect Hazem Shehata used AI to create this organic villa in a surreal setting.

Apart from the shell white covering its honeycomb-esque patterns, magenta is the only colour present in the conceptual abode. Beyond the coloured glass overlooking serene landscapes, the interiors feature similar patterns repeated on sofas and the sculptural columns which mark the building’s windows and openings.

As much as artificial intelligence has been used in architectural visualisation, it’s slowly but surely entering into the world of interiors, whether it’s by having the architectural design influencing the look inside, as is the case with ‘Magenta Villa’, or with interior centric creations which are starting to pick up the attention of digital creators. If 2022 saw the emergence of AI-generated architecture, it seems like 2023 will be focused on AI-generated interiors.
