Okhtein Reimagines Indie Girl Totes Into Boujee Statement Pieces

Pay no mind to the see-through fabrics currently plaguing your tote bags - and the palm hills mum Christian Dior tote we cannot seem to escape - and witness local label Okhtein’s take on the coveted staples instead.

A twist on their Zayan totes, the ‘Square Tote’ collection lends itself favourably to corporate girlies who fawned over the LV neverfull in the mid noughties and respective Goyard tote girls who left no colour wave untapped. Comprising three hues - a pure white rendition, an embroidered black and nude staple as well as a green abstract ode to Cairo culture - the collection bridges the varied cultural aspects Okhtein aims to embody within every collection they release.

Whilst the pieces experiment with different fabrics and alien silhouettes, theis signature embossed leather designs can still be seen hugging the edges and parameters of the designs. Toying with metallics, the green rendition of the ‘Square Tote’ experiments with architectural artwork and the knotted top handle serves as the perfect embellishment to the newly launched designs.
