Miss Universe Is Coming to Cairo

She’s beauty, she’s grace, what we wouldn’t give to have her face.

Aside from all our unfulfilled, Dancing Queen dreams, we can’t help but dreamily watch beauty pageants and wonder how in the world these women seem so perfectly put together when we’re having a hard time remembering to wash our hair and go to yoga class in the same week.

In two weeks, we’ll get to witness one of these perfect creatures firsthand as Event 4 U brings us Miss Universe of 2016, Iris Mittenaere, to Cairo for a six-day trip starting. The French beauty will be touring major touristic attractions in both Cairo and Alexandria – and probably taking to-die-for photos. She will also hold a press conference and attend a charity event, which will be hosted in the French Embassy on October 27.

Ms. Mittenaere is the second woman in France to become Miss Universe with abundant and significant achievements under her belt. The twenty-four-year-old is studying to become an oral surgeon and enjoys extreme sports such as sky diving, paragliding, and bungee jumping, so she was practically born to reign over the universe's women.

Miss Universe, who will be a judge in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, will be arriving shortly after the auditions for Miss Egypt Universe, which will also be held in Cairo, so now’s your chance, young ladies! If you are better prepared for the casting call then we are, and you think you have what it takes to represent Egypt with poise and grace in one of the most prestigious beauty pageants in the world, then by all means, join the auditions on October 11 from 6:00 PM till 9:00 PM at the Marriott hotel in Zamalek.

"There is no dress code for the audition because we want to see how each contestant presents herself in the way she's dressed. As cliche as it sounds, we are, of course, looking for both beauty and brains, so contestants are expected to be intelligent and to have an air of grace around them as well," director of the Miss Egypt Universe Contest and former Miss Egypt, Heba Aboud, told us.

Single
Height: 165 cm or talller
Fluent in English
