Magnolia: Zaam & Nada Akram Channel Flower Power Together

Statement making bag brand Zaam Designs, and pop-culture-meets-feminine-flirtation design house Nada Akram, have pooled together their talents to create a collection that encapsulates the spirit of summer beautifully. The duo have just released their collaboration, Magnolia, a bohemian mini collection which features a blend of bags and beautiful attire and literally screams flower power like no other.

“Nada and myself had talked about collaborating for a while but we’d never done it,” Ahmed Azzam, founder of Zaam, tells us. “And then we found Shakespeare and Co. Egypt. When we found that place, we were inspired by every single thing in it, and the collection was born.” The café looks like Marie-Antoinette and a flower child had a baby, whose godmother was Alice in Wonderland; it’s chic meets Victorian meets whimsy and its unique aesthetic was what influenced the entire Magnolia collection.

From flowy, floral-print kimonos to busy paisley-print loose trousers, Nada Akram goes all out with a fun summery feel, and Zaam continues to create a stir with his creative pieces. The bags in the collection feature full-on applique flowers; some are even adorned with grass, no joke. “For me, I wanted to create a different floral collection,” Azzam explains, “Not just the usual prints.”

Take a look at the collection below, and get your hippie child hands on it while you still can!
