Egyptian-Lebanese Photographer Toufic Araman’s Film to Be Screened at London Fashion Film Festival

“When I started doing video, everything came back to me, why I’m doing what I’m doing,” Toufic Araman told CairoScene in an exclusive interview last November (below). The world-acclaimed fashion photographer and all-round creative powerhouse’s move to a new medium has certainly been a successful one, with the news that his film, Finding MĀ is to be screened as part of one of the biggest and most important events of its kind, the London Fashion Film Festival.

Produced in collaboration with Vogue Arabia, the film is a project close to Araman’s heart. Using a host of different stylists, poets, composers and other creatives, the video looks at New York and Dubai, where Araman spends most of his time.

Finding MĀ is finding oneself between here and there,” he told Vogue. “The journey between space and time. It is the cross roads of two cities I lived. MĀ refers to rooms, as well as spaces between structures,” he continued.

The film will be screened on September 13th at the Regent Street Cinema in London.
