Double the Style with Duet's Sets

Designer Abeya Sherif El Shimy's brand, Duet, exclusively deals with two-piece sets, also known as co-ords. Their newest summer collection ‘Wild at Heart’ includes a healthy mixture between fun and flirty co-ords drawing on Spanish flamenco influences, and bold animal prints that carry that signature Miami style. Their earlier spring releases feature natural pastels and airy fabrics, giving the understated folk something to latch onto as well.

“My main vision for the brand was to empower women through clothes by designing unique pieces for them to wear that they wouldn’t find elsewhere,” El Shimy tells #CairoScene. A 24-year-old integrated marketing communication graduate from AUC, El Shimy has been enamored with the world of fashion since she was young. Her passion led her to launch her brand back in 2018 while she was still in university, and she hasn’t looked back since.
