SceneEats Breaking: Reflecting on 2022’s Foodie Hits and Misses

This year has been uncharacteristically eventful for Egyptian foodies, global food chains are suddenly coming to Egypt, AlBaik finally decided that they ought to grace our glorious ancient sands with their fried chicken, we witnessed the rise of the (unfortunately inevitable) underrated versus overrated TikToks, and stared dumbly at our phones more time than we can count on our fingers and toes as local eateries attempted to induce heart attacks via food concoction announcements. Suffice is to say, both us and our Arab aunties were shockingly unamused.
