6 Nightlife Spots Opening in 6th of October City to Get Excited About

Something seems to be happening to 6th of October City. We still remember when it was a sleepy suburb and a quite lovely place to start a family. Snooze fest central basically. But now it seems like it's set to be one of Cairo’s hottest neighborhoods. Not exactly a new Zamalek, but it's certainly putting itself on the map of cool in Cairo. And these six places are cementing it as such. It’s now bigger, has some of the finest eats around, the coolest hangouts, and without all the traffic. And seems like it's about to get cool boost. Get excited.

Olivo

Olivo is famous for its artisanal pizza, delicious salads, and mouthwatering deserts, but mostly it’s famous for having one of the best bars in Zamalek. Now it's taking its loved bar and pizza oven to 6th of October, because the west side peeps deserve a taste of the Olvio life too.

The Tap West

Maadi’s favorite spot to enjoy a steak and have drink with your besties opened in New Cairo and we went nuts. Now they're opening the much anticipated west-side branch and everyone can’t wait for their favorite watering-hole to open its Sheikh Zayed doors.

CJC 610

That’s right! Cairo Jazz Club is finally opening another branch. After dominating the live music scene in Cairo for over 15 years, they’re opening their doors in 6th of October City soon and its going to be bigger, better, and with more of our favourite performers on the other side of the city. Think massive: with both indoor and outdoor spaces and bigger events than ever, this is one we cannot wait to see come to life.

Cairo’s newest nightlife spot is opening its doors in Sheikh Zayed's Al Guezira Plaza and its promising to have delicious food, great music, and booze for days. Co-owner Karim Rafla said he and partner Gamal Abdelnasser (yes, actual name) have a "fine dinning Italian, with a twist, restaurant and bar that's not traditional" going. We can't wait, but we'll have to. Until September 26th at least.

Andiamo

Andiamo's pizza took over Heliopolis when it opened, it took over Hacienda last summer, and it's about to take over 6th of October now with its newest branch opening in Al Guezirah Plaza.

La Taberna

We're not entirely sure what this place is going to be like, but we're sold on it. Between Al Guezira Plaza and La Taberna's branding, we know it's going to be good. Plus... two words: restaurant + pub. We're there.
