After years of international DJs swarming our nightlife scene and getting huge hype just for the fact that they’re white, Egypt is finally sending our own talent back into the world. This Saturday, local talents and Nacelle residents, Hisham Zahran and Aly B AKA Aly Basha AKA The Greatest DJ in The Universe, will be shipped off to Lebanon to play at Überhaus! Although Zahran is an experienced spinner outside the confines of Cairo, it’s Aly B’s first international gig. “I’m honoured to represent my country, it feels like all these years have finally paid off. Music is my solid passion, and nailing this gig has made me realise that when you love something so much it does love you back in ways you never thought," Aly tells us excitedly. Aww! They grow up so fast! We remember when he was just a little amoeba stuck between the faders of an old pioneer CDJ. Likewise, Zahran is eagerly awaiting another chance to show the world what he’s got “Every time I get a chance to play in a different country and represent in any way mine, I get overwhelmed and proud… So I am definitely looking forward to be playing Überhaus In Lebanon."
