Sergio Ramos Blames Mohamed Salah for Champions League Final Injury

Sergio Ramos has finally come out and spoken to Spanish newspaper AS about the famous Mo Salah wrestling incident that left our national hero in an arm sling and doubtful for the first couple of games of the World Cup, and it’s not something Egyptians will be happy to hear. If you’re expecting an apology, it’s advisable for you to stop reading now.

The Real Madrid captain has refused to take blame, and explains why he took so long to speak on the incident: “I didn’t want to speak because everything is magnified. I see the play well, he grabs my arm first and I fell to the other side, the injury happened to the other arm and they said that I gave him a judo hold. After, the goalkeeper said that I dazed him with a clash. I am only missing Firmino saying that he got a cold because a drop of my sweat landed on him,” he added. Savage.

He also suggested that there isn't any bad blood between the two players, with Ramos stating that: “I spoke with Salah through messages he was quite good. He could have played if he got an injection for the second half, I have done it sometimes but when Ramos does something like this, it sticks a little bit more. I don’t know if it’s because you’re at Madrid for so long and win for so long that people look at it a different way.” Thank you Dr. Ramos.

Mo Salah has been his usual gracious self, refusing to blame Ramos, with a Liverpool physio claiming that “I don’t think he is angry with him. It was an accidental challenge”. So let’s take Mo's word for it. It feels like the only thing that will make the injury-talk stop is the beginning of the World Cup. Thankfully, it’s now only 8 days away.
