Egypt Prepares to Host 65 Pageant Queens from Across the World for Miss Eco International 2019

Taking place between March 13th and 30th, Miss Eco International 2019 is set to welcome contestants from over 65 countries, with pageant queens from as far and wide as Finland, Argentina, Romania and Moldova taking part.

As part of the annual competition, the queens will be taken to a host of different touristic sites across Egypt as part of promotion and preparation for an event that does more than the average pageant.

Competition president, Amal Rizk, adds that the official opening ceremony for the contest will be held on March 14th, where contestants will be presenting and wearing eco-friendly outfits that represent the traditional fashion and culture of their countries – and this is what makes this particular competition stand out.

The pageant aims to achieve a sort-of cross-cultural dialogue by highlighting and celebrating the cultures of its participants, while also aiming to raise awareness on environmental issues.

Through elements such as the tour that the contestants are taken on, Miss Eco International is also motivated by the goal to shed light Egypt’s own rich history and culture on a global stage. Last year's edition was won by Cynthia Thomalia from the Philippines.
