You Can Now Withdraw LE 5, LE 10 & LE 20 Bills from Select ATMs

For the first time in Egypt, the National Bank of Egypt (you know, Bank Al Ahly) is launching a new service that will allow you to deposit and withdraw small change at their ATMs. Imagine! Not having to walk over and awkwardly discuss getting faka from the vendor down the street! Taking on a principle of financial inclusion, the new service will make it easier for its customers to have their financial needs met more precisely as per their daily life requirements, when all you really need are a few twenties.

The new service will allow you to deposit LE 5, LE 10, and LE 20 bills with a maximum withdrawal of EGP 1,000 per use. The new service won’t just make it easier to keep small change on hand, but will also reduce the traffic on the bank’s clerks and lessen congestion.

The first phase will see these services launched at ATMs in the majority of the bank’s Cairo and Alexandria branches, as well as in Zagazig, Sharqeya, Beni Suef, Sohag, Domyat, Aswan, Marsa Matrouh, and other smaller cities.
