White by The Waterway Decks the Halls of 90th Street with Festive Foam Sculptures

It’s that time of the year again, and bringing a Christmas look to New Cairo is White by The Waterway, who have come up with a super innovative way to brighten the streets with Christmas vibes while supporting local Egyptian sculptors. Take a look for yourself… the results are gorgeous! The sculptors, who created the stunning pieces in a month, have 20 years of combined experience in sculpting - and looking at their work, it really shows.

What struck us the most about these sculptures is the fact that none of them use steel or any kind of metal in their construction, but are actually made from hundreds of kilos of polyester foam.

This distinctive choice of material produced visually captivating, festive pieces of art, and to be honest, we can’t look away! The gorgeous sculptures were carefully hand-crafted from gigantic blocks of polyester to display cheerful images of Christmas, including Santa Claus, a snowman, a reindeer and a gingerbread man. If you think being made of foam means these sculptures are a bunch of light weights, think again: the snowman weighs a whopping 720KG.

White by The Waterway, which opened its doors last September, introduced several restaurants to the New Cairo area, including new local and international concept restaurants.

Consisting of both commercial and office spaces, the strip boasts a breathtakingly stylish design with the incredibly modern Christmas sculptures to match!
