Tourist flow to Egypt is expected to return back to pre-pandemic levels by October 2022, according to Elhamy El Zayat, the former chairperson of the Egyptian Tourism Federation. The tourism sector is witnessing a gradual improvement that could allow the sector to peak in 2023 and 2024.
With the completion of the Karnak Temple’s restoration and the opening of the Rams Road - which will be accompanied by a grand reopening ceremony - tourism is expected to see a jump this winter.
