The Red Sea Governorate is Building its First Free Drug Addiction Treatment Centre

At the request of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Red Sea Governorate will establish its first-ever free-of-charge drug addiction treatment centre, the Al-Azimah Centre for Drug Addiction Treatment, which will be located in the city of Hurghada. The centre is part of a wider state strategy to improve services towards citizens in all governorates across different fields.

The centre will include 32 single rooms, 30 double rooms, with an overall capacity of 92 beds. It will also include a restaurant, two gyms, a theatre, a library, laundry services, pergolas and outdoor, green spaces. We don't recommend getting hooked on drugs just to use the facilities, as tempting as that may sound.

Outpatient clinics will also be available, which will be accessible through a separate entrance. The centre – which is currently under construction – is set to open its doors before the end of 2020.
